In the Bear Cub room, the day’s activities are planned around the daily routine to ensure a feeling of consistency and security for your child, yet allowing room for both spontaneous and planned activities with your child.
We have a fantastic team of passionate and dedicated professionals who understand that your child is the most important person in the world and only the very best, safest and happiest care and environment will do.
We promote ‘school-readiness’ with our pre-schoolers developing confidence and relationships. We also work closely with Jolly Phonics and Numicon activities to ensure literary and mathematical progress.
Sandy Bears Holiday Club is always packed with themed activities, games and trips out to various different locations providing fun, challenging and enjoyable activities for all ages and we are perfectly located just off the A41.
A Typical Day At Sandy Bears
9am provides another drop off and handover, activities ranging from role play to crafts are set out to encourage development through play in the children’s free choice time.
10am is tidy up time and ‘Morning Circle’. All children and staff sit on the mat and greet each other, giving all the opportunity to share ‘news’ and show and tell items before singing our Good Morning Song!
10.15am is snack time. Children are offered a selection of fruit, toast, milk and water.
10.30am brings outdoor play where the children can explore our gardens’ residents in the mini beast houses (ladybirds, tadpoles and spiders to name a few!) They enjoy helping digging and watering the plants, having pirate adventures in our ship or developing their gross motor skills on our climbing frame and bikes!
11.15am provides chance for the children to engage in adult-led small group activities, usually exploring the ‘theme’ for that week (i.e. ‘water week’ we investigated with ice and ‘around the world week’ engaged in tasting sessions of foreign food etc)
And thats only half the day…
